Het is goed nieuws voor het Hydrogen Delta Programma van Smart Delta Resources en ook voor enkele belangrijke groene waterstof projecten in Nederland.

Het beschikbaar stellen van dit budget is essentieel voor de erkenning van groene waterstofprojecten als zogeheten Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI). Deze Europese status geeft projecten een positieve kwalificatie en daarmee toegang tot bredere vormen van financiering en het vergemakkelijkt daarmee de opschaling van de Nederlandse waterstofambities. Twee door Smart Delta Resources ondersteunde, kansrijke waterstofprojecten zitten volop in dit proces.

Eerder heeft Smart Delta Resources een gelegenheidscoalitie gevormd en om aandacht gevraagd bij het Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat voor deze kwestie.

Preferred route for hydrogen network in Southwest Netherlands announced

The State Secretary for Climate and Green Growth Jo-Annes de Bat has established the overall roadmap for the hydrogen network in the Southwest Netherlands. The network is part of the national and international hydrogen system and is intended to connect ports and industrial clusters in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

LBC Tank Terminals is working on a Green Energy Hub for ammonia, hydrogen, and CO₂ in Vlissingen.

LBC Tank Terminals is developing plans in Vlissingen for a terminal for the import and storage of green ammonia, combined with CO₂ storage and the production of green hydrogen. The development is planned for the Sloehaven in North Sea Port and fits within the broader strengthening of the Scheldt Delta Region as a hub for energy, raw materials, and industrial infrastructure.
